Welcome to Rancho Fino Mallorca Rescue

We provide lifelong care to animals with special and more complex needs.
Our main mission is to provide care, dignity and true understanding towards these special needs.

OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

Rancho Fino Rescue is a dedicated animal sanctuary build and led by me, Stacey, fully supported by my husband Sten, in every aspect of its daily care. We are specialised in the care of animals with complex needs.

We are an animal Sanctuary that rescues actively and provides refuge to those who are unwanted, neglected, abandoned, elderly, sick, physically and/or mentally challenged. In many cases, we are their last chance, a last station. A place where they are not turned away, but taken in with commitment and responsibility.

At any given time, we look after 100 to 150 animals of all species, with the majority being equines and dogs. The number of animals in our care fluctuates greatly, reflecting our commitment to taking in urgent and complex cases, as well as supporting animals through the final stages of their lives.

Our work focuses on rescue, recovery, and long-term care. Whenever possible, we rehabilitate and prepare animals for a suitable future. However, many of the animals we take in require lifelong support due to the severity of their condition or past trauma.

Each animal at Rancho Fino is treated as an individual, with their own history, character, and needs. Respect, patience, and understanding form the foundation of everything we do.

We are particularly experienced in caring for animals in their most vulnerable stages of life. This includes providing specialised, medical but also palliative care is a big part of what we are doing. Ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and surrounded by calm and compassion.

At Rancho Fino, even when a full recovery is not possible, providing quality of life always is what we strive towards.

We are not a high-volume intake rescue and do not operate as a large-scale adoption shelter. Ofcourse, in select cases and while the big rescue-job we do, we also facilitate adoption when an animal can thrive in a suitable home environment elsewhere and does not require the lifelong special-needs-care we mainly provide.

Here we stand for those without a voice, or might had one but where never listened to.

We give them the care, dignity, and security they deserve.

  • Important sidenote:

While we do care for animals of all species, we are not set up to make a meaningful difference when it comes to cats or the exorbitant cat-problem on the island. We do have quite a number of established territorial adult cats that makes that we are cat-wise always full and unfortunately unable to take more into our care.

‘We live our adventure.
Support our work and become part of their care
